Ugueth Urbina is Burning

So it looks like the Reds got the wrong Jose Capellan. Maybe it is an uninspiring waiver wire pickup of a 21-year old scrap heap prospect, but it is one worth mentioning, as there is another, proven, sucky Jose Capellan of the same name. The one who has played for four teams. Wouldn’t Dusty want the veteran Jose Capellan? Wouldn’t he want the one with a 5.54 ERA with the Brewers and the Tigers in 2007? That sure is experience right there, and another arm that Dusty would blow out. By the way, the Reds’ Jose Capellan was picked up by the Giants from the Red Sox in the Rule 5 draft last year.

It’s like getting the other Randy Johnson. Or the other Alex Gonzalez.

When General Manager Wayne Krivsky was asked for comment, he did not answer his phone. Oops.
